From a Dream to a Profession
My journey began with small events and a big dream. I spent four years in Qatar pursuing my ambition of working on cruise ships. Later, I moved to Goa, where I planned weddings and events with budgets ranging from ₹50 lakh to ₹5 crore.
My journey then took me into the world of entertainment, where I joined Balaji Telefilms to design and build sets with filmmaker Mohit Suri, including projects associated with Malang and Ek Villain Returns at the Grand Hyatt Goa.
Working on film sets taught me an invaluable lesson: there is no second take when the moment matters. The same is true of a wedding. Every detail must be right, every challenge must be handled, and every moment must unfold as planned.
Building Wishtree Planners from Scratch
When COVID stranded me in Goa for three months without work, I returned home to Jamshedpur with a decision to make. Instead of giving up on my dream, I started Wishtree Planners with a logo, the necessary legal paperwork, and no equipment of my own.
In those early days, every chair, light, and piece of décor was borrowed from vendors. Those challenging beginnings taught me one of the most important principles of event management:
The host should never have to chase anyone.
That belief became the foundation of Wishtree Planners — a commitment to accountability, thoughtful planning, and dependable execution.
From Borrowed Equipment to Our Own Infrastructure
Today, Wishtree Planners has grown into a fully equipped operation with an office, a 5,000 sq. ft. godown, and our own production house. This allows us to build, adapt, and solve problems on-site with greater control over execution.
Over the years, we have completed 200+ weddings and 80+ corporate events across Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Raipur, Goa, Mandarmani, Purulia, Bankura, Chakradharpur, and beyond.
From intimate family celebrations to large-scale weddings and corporate productions, our approach remains the same: plan meticulously, execute professionally, and take responsibility for every detail.
What Matters When the Celebration Ends
At the end of the day, the stage will come down, the flowers will wilt, and the lights will go off.
What remains is how you and your family felt in that room. The joy, the laughter, the emotions, and the memories you carry home — that is the true measure of a successful event.
